California Fires Relief
Over a dozen fires are burning simultaneously in Northern California throughout several counties, scorching hundreds of thousands of acres, including entire neighborhoods. At least 40 deaths have been reported so far, and nearly 6,000 homes and businesses have been destroyed.
As firefighters and emergency crews are working tirelessly to contain the fires and evacuate people in their paths, many shelters throughout the area are housing tens of thousands of evacuees, many of whom will sadly not have homes to return to. While the fires continue to rage, each day news is coming from individuals, organizations, businesses, and community centers calling for monetary donations to help restore what has been lost.
Hidaya Foundation, with our headquarters just a couple hours south of these fires, is collecting funds in order to support some of these causes and help our neighbors to the north in their time of need.
