Libya Floods
A massive storm that dumped 8 months worth of rain in 1 day in Libya overwhelmed 2 major dams that failed, causing a massive flash flood that destroyed much of the coastal city of Derna, and washed entire neighborhoods out to sea. Thousands are confirmed dead, and thousands more missing and feared for dead. The needs are many and the road ahead will be long and difficult for more than a hundred thousand people in this affected area.
Hidaya has purchased and is sending 3 containers of school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, pencil sharpeners, rulers, whiteboards, markers and more for over 14,000 students who lost all their belongings in the floods.
